The two of them fought as the log began to break. The animals arrive to rescue Surly, who very selflessly sacrifices himself by letting go of the log. The two of them go over a waterfall, killing Raccoon and Surly apparently. After a while, Surly survives the fall. With Raccoon finally ousted, the animals manage to rebuild their home while King and his gang get arrested for their crimes. A mid-credits scene reveals that Raccoon and Cardinal survived and were drifted out to sea, but sharks now surround them, leaving their fate ambiguous.

Bittern mistakenly drinks from a chalice filled with poison that was originally intended for Victor. This leads to his death, allowing the onlooking undead to have their way with him. He is last seen in fear, being taken away by the dead; the interpretation of his fate is up to the audience. Either he can be taken where he’s never seen again, or the dead dispose of his body as punishment for murdering Emily and attempting to do the same to Victor and Victoria.

After re-hydrating instantly, Megamind uses the defuser gun to remove all of the unearned powers from Tighten, rendering him powerless and reverting him to Hal for good. he is imprisoned in Megamind's old cell, serving a life sentence as punishment for his crimes against Metro City.

In the end, he blows the potion into Marianne's face and hoped to "earn" her love in an instant by making himself the first person she sees. However, due to her true feelings for the Bog King, the potion did not take effect. Marianne then punches him in the face, causing Roland to fall off a cliff and get hit with the rest of the love potion. During the credits, Roland, who apparently survived the fall, emerges from the valley holding a female purple fly (one of the Bog King’s suitors from early in the film) in his arms. Thanks to getting sprayed with the potion, he falls madly in love with her and she reciprocates the feelings, much to the disgust of his army. Roland tells her to ignore them and professes his "love" for her by saying that she is beautiful to him. The two share a passionate kiss and become a couple.

Eventually the animals revive Chanticleer by cheering him on and he crows causing the sun to come up and the Grand Duke shrinks, and his nephew, Hunch, whom he abused throughout the movie decides to abuse him because he's now smaller and weaker. It is unknown if Hunch killed the Duke or not.
